The strangest election night of the century...

Even the Republican nominee's people felt there was only a ten percent chance of emerging victorious last night...

Mrs. Clinton's advocates came to the party expecting to party, and as the evening wore on, the looks on their faces changed from joy to terror...

Listening to the talking heads slowly realize that everything they thought they knew was wrong...

Realizing that the rest of the world was watching the change in our foreign policy with diapers on...

Crunching numbers in battleground states to realize that the Dems did everything right on the ground - strong Latino and black turnouts, etc. - but the rural Trump vote came out of the woodwork to put their man over the top...

Watching the Rahm Emanuel theory of presidential succession take place before our eyes: we always elect a new president diametrically different from the previous one... from staid George Bush to "Bubba" Bill Clinton, from personal morally challenged Clinton to morally staunch GWBush...from good ol' boy, superficially unintelligent George W to erudite, cool Barack Obama...and now, from black Constitutional law professor Obama to government novice and redneck-appealing Donald Trump...

Being pleased that Mrs. Clinton gave a gracious concession call to the 45th president, and that there will not be a dragged-out post-election questioning of the results...

Worrying that with the present divisive mood of the country, regardless of which candidate had won, the new president would live in fear of assassination attempts for the next four years...

Watching state after state flip from red to blue or blue to red...wondering if 2016 is an aberration or the new norm...

Having to explain to my ten year old daughters that the profane man who treats women as sex objects was now their next president...

Having to explain to my highly Hispanic high school class that they were about to drop precipitously down the cultural ladder in their own country...

Worrying about the Christianity of the leadership of our nation (regardless of which nominee we'd elected last night), and knowing that the only hope for our country, as always, is a revival of Christian belief and principles, salvation to a dying land which God is preparing to take back.

He Is Coming. Be Prepared. Repent, Repeat.
