A reminder that God is in complete control.

Blessed be the Name of God forever and ever,
   to Whom belongs wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
   He removes kings and sets up kings;
   He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;
He reveals deep and hidden things;
   He knows what is in the darkness, and the Light dwells with Him.
To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
   for You have given me wisdom and might.  - Daniel 2:20-23

It would not be the worst thing you could do to start your day this way: a morning reminder that it is God and God alone Who determines the fate of us all, not the kings of manmade nations, whether or not they have nuclear arsenals at their disposal. God dispenses both wisdom and might, and He knows to whom He has entrusted what. He is always in complete control of all things, and the End Times will unfold as He has said it would, regardless of blustering buffoons or their actions.

But it should also serve as a reminder that the End IS coming, and we must be right with Christ and God the Father NOW, not "sometime soon". We have fulfilled all prerequisites and He can now return any moment.

Salvation: An Acrostic

A lot of people seem to
Believe that if they just say,
"Christ, save me!", then He will
Deliver them from Hell and allow them to
Enter into the Kingdom of Heaven
Following their death. But it's pretty clear that
God doesn't work that way.
Heaven isn't a "free-for-all" open to anyone.
Instead, you must actually make
Jesus your Lord, not just your Savior;
King of your entire
Life. He isn't just a doorman who
Must allow you in because you said some "magic words"!
No, nobody who truly believes remains unchanged.
Only those who live with His commands
Permeating their lives, who make the efforts to
Quit living according to the world's standards and
Reorganize their behavior to match what the Holy
Spirit residing within them
Tells them to do, can ever truly
Understand what it means to be a Christian.
Verily, I say to you, that
When you start living according to His e-
Xample, not just spouting words of faith but living
Your life as close to Christ's as you can, with the
Zeal that He lived for the Truth,
        can you ever enter into the Gates of Heaven.
